Tony cringed, pacing, turning to Faulkner for another word of validation or encouragement.

"You sure I can do this, man?"

"Tony, ya'll listen to me, now!" The Fairy Gengar tsked, shaking his head and taking the Mienshao by the arm.  "Ya'll are the most brazen 'mon I know.  You kick Cromwell while he's asleep and run away laughin'.  You've tried to find legendary pokemon just to take a selfie with 'em!  I know you can handle a beautiful gal."

"I'm not too good with girls, man, like...I dunno.  I guess I'm not...sweet enough?  Or something.  I don't know..." The fighting weasel pokemon sighed, rubbing the back of his head with a paw.  "I just do stuff without thinking...what if I accidentally hurt a girl's feelings or something?"

"Now, now, Tony.  This is the oldest advice in the book, but you just gotta be yourself!" Faulkner encouraged with a slap on the back.  "Now go out there, and say hey to that bunny!"

"G-geez, all right, calm down, now..." Tony gulped, taking a few hesitant steps forward.  In the distance was a Banette/Lopunny cross, busy looking at some flowers sprouting near a huge oak.  Tony ran a paw through his hair as he approached.

"H-hey."

The Lopunny cross looked up curiously.

"Yes?  Can I help you?"

"Ah, yeah.  Well, I...heard you were havin' a lifemate shendig, and, ah...uh..."

"Yes, I am.  Why?  Are you interested in any of that?" The Banette cross giggled, extending a hand to the Mienshao.  "I'm Biscuit.  And who're you?"

"I am.  Yeah.  Uh."

Arceus, why was this so difficult?  He looked like an idiot!

"T-Tony!  It's Tony!" He finally managed, sighing in relief shortly afterwards.  "Uhh, mind if I hang out for a few minutes?"

Biscuit smiled.

"Not at all."

So this is my lifemate entry for Biscuit!  She's quite a beautiful pokemon: love her design!  As I am partially a ghost type ranch, I really wanted to enter this contest.  I thought my Tony would look super cute with her, to be honest.
Tony is worried that he won't make a good impression because he thinks he's no good with girls.  He can be a bit strong willed and not think things through, but he nearly always means well and has a good heart.  Maybe Biscuit will give him a chance?
